Yuan Xiao Jie kuei le! [link] Although it is more widely known as the Lantern or Yuan Xiao Festival in China, it is known as Chap Goh Mei [link] where I live. As an Overseas Chinese, I celebrate it with my community fellows, who form 30% of the Malaysian population. It's also the last day of the 15-day Chinese New Year and Spring Festival. It's the Rat Year this time round. Here, it is our Valentine's Day. Hence the Rat lovers, a piece of mandarin orange usually eaten during Chinese New Year festivities and the Chinese character for Love. And so I wish you all finding your soulmate very soon! For I have found mine, and I'm very happy with him. We've even bought a house together. This is something I ain't shy from bragging about.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
